Formation : Introduction to Inventive Design Methodology based on TRIZ

nov. 11 2024

Intervenant : Denis Cavallucci - Titre : Introduction to Inventive Design Methodology based on TRIZ Résumé: Course objectives This course aims to introduce PhD students to the techniques of inventive design & inventive problem solving by learning its theoretical foundations and putting them into practice through a case study. The course will be divided into two parts. A theoretical part aims to introduce students to the basics of Inventive Design, a large part of which is inspired by the TRIZ theory (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving). These courses will be upstream of each phase of an inventive study, which includes 4 phases: Analysis of the Initial Situation - Formulation of Contradictions - Generation of Solution Concepts - Ranking of Solution Concepts. In the form of a mini-project, students will either use a case related to their field of expertise or their personal project to put into practice the techniques and tools studied during the theoretical/methodological part of Inventive Design module. The ideal distribution is 1/3 theory and 2/3 practice. At the end of this course, the student will have learned to identify and formulate an inventive problem from the point of view of its technical and physical contradictions; to generate evolution hypotheses in accordance with the TRIZ evolution laws; to generate inventive solution concepts related to his project and to gather elements that can be used to argue which R&D direction to take for his inventive approach.
